159 retirement suites including memory care, assisted living, and independent living

Murphy Partners conceived and produced master planning, design, and construction documents for a 159-suite continuum of care community on a 3.0 acre site in Brampton. MPI coordinated A site-specific rezoning and official plan amendment along with extensive neighbourhood consultation and collaboration to build support for this re-development of 2 existing detached residential lots adjacent to The Etobicoke Creek. The team also gained approval from the Greater Toronto Conservation Authority and Region of Peel for the proposal.

The project mix includes a 2nd floor Memory Care neighbourhood and Assisted Living suites on the 3rd and 4th floors. The upper floors contain a variety of suite types designed for Independent Living. The upper floors on the westerly face were terraced to minimize impact on nearby single-family homes and to comply with City of Brampton Urban Design Guidelines.

Parking was provided in a single level underground parkade and surface visitor stalls in a rear motor courtyard accessed via an inclined driveway from Main Street South.
