Meet The Team
+ Robert Murphy
Principal Architect at Murphy Partners Seniors Housing Architects. Bob has a Bachelor of Environmental Studies and Architecture from the University of Waterloo and founded the firm in 1985. With experience in commercial, residential, and mixed-use properties, Bob found his niche with his very first seniors housing project in 1985. Since then, he has spent 35 years honing his craft, both in design and in creatively approaching projects with the skills and knowledge of a specialist architect. Bob's passion for providing beautiful, safe, functional housing for seniors comes from his life-long admiration for the "greatest generation" - and his charitable work shows it. As a licensed pilot, Bob owns a refurbished WW2 Tiger Moth bi-plane, which he uses to donate flights to fundraising auctions for charitable organizations like the Alzheimer Society and the Veterans Wing at Sunnybrook Hospital.
+Bev Murphy
Bev is the Office Manager for Murphy Partners and has many years of experience in marketing and finance for IBM, as well as marketing experience with a retirement living operator. Bev has a certificate in Gerontology from Centennial College, and believes strongly in advocating for Seniors to ensure that they receive the best care and highest quality of living standards available.
+Elena Kim
Elena has over 9 years of experience in Architecture and is deeply committed to designing and building spaces that enhance the quality of life for seniors. Holding a Master of Architecture (M. Arch), Elena brings a strong technical foundation ensuring that not only design aspects, but safety, accessibility, and comfort are prioritized in every senior housing project, knowing how crucial these factors are for the well-being of residents. Her leadership style focuses on creative problem-solving and optimization of workflows to ensure timely, cost-effective project completion. Outside of work, Elena is passionate about personal growth, psychology, board games, data analysis and exploration of different AI tools. Her dedication to design excellence motivates her to tackle new challenges and make a meaningful impact within the senior community.
+Glearda Sokoli
Glearda holds a Master of Architecture from the Boston Architectural College and brings eight years of combined experience in engineering and architecture to the firm. Her professional background includes work on recreational and community buildings, where she developed a strong interest in how design can shape human experience. Her thesis explored how architecture can spark intrigue and inspire people in their everyday lives—a theme that continues to guide her work today. This perspective informs her growing focus on seniors housing, where she believes safety and good design must go hand-in-hand to support some of the most vulnerable members of our communities. Glearda approaches each project with curiosity, care, and a belief that architecture should elevate both form and function.
+Hammad Al Hague
Hammad holds an Advanced Diploma in Architectural Technology from Sheridan College. With experience across multiple firms in the GTA, Hammad has developed a passion for blending technical precision with creative vision. He enjoys the iterative nature of design development and the challenge of transforming complex concepts into clear, buildable solutions. His work spans commercial, residential, and themed entertainment projects, and he takes pride in producing high-quality visualizations that bring architectural ideas to life. Hammad is particularly interested in how BIM technologies can streamline collaboration and elevate design outcomes across multidisciplinary teams.
+ Nadia Qadir
Nadia has an M. Arch from Ryerson University and a B. Arch from the Indus Valley School of Art and Architecture in Karachi, Pakistan. Nadia feels that caring for the elderly in our society is essential, and she enjoys that she gets to design beautiful living spaces for them that feel more like high-end hotels. She also always wanted to work on religious buildings because of the spiritual and experiential aspects of the spaces, and she appreciates how these buildings are entirely different from other buildings.
+Rotem Yaniv
Rotem has a Bachelor of Architectural Studies (BAS) from Carleton University and an M. Arch from the University of Toronto. He is also part of the Design and Dementia Community of Practice of the BrainXchange network. He is interested in the design of seniors housing and his master’s thesis explored the design of a continuum of care campus in an urban setting. He brings to the firm over 13 years of experience designing life lease, retirement, and long-term care homes projects. Rotem believes seniors housing should provide the right balance of fresh air, daylight, planting, and colour, and create safe, secure, and home-like environments for both residents and staff.
+Alyssa Gosine
Graduated from Humber College with an Advanced Diploma in Architectural Technology, Alyssa brings a decade of experience in residential architecture, with a strong interest in designing spaces that are both efficient and feel like home. Alyssa has a great appreciation for working on seniors housing - there’s something very meaningful about creating environments that support both care and independence, while fostering comfort and connection in later life. Alyssa believes that designing with thoughtfulness and intention has the power to truly enhance the quality of everyday living, especially for those enjoying their later years.
+Bob Guo
Bob holds a Bachelor of Architectural Studies (BAS) from Carleton University and a Master of Architecture (M.Arch) from Laurentian University. He brings over 5 years of experience to the firm, working in a variety of architectural sectors. Bob believes that both careful design and diligent construction are required to make Long-Term Care facilities great places to live, work, and visit.
